Lindy Roux was born in Pretoria, but over the years has lived in many different parts of South Africa. She excelled in art at the school level and grew up wanting to pursue a career in art. Drifting into the corporate world caused Lindy to lay down her pencil for many years. It was only after returning to Hazyview, Mpumalanga, and the natural beauty she was surrounded with, that her love for drawing and painting was rekindled. An enthusiastic birder, she has always had an affinity with birds. This love for them inspires her work. Surrounded by the birds and animals that she loves drawing, she has immersed herself in her creativity. Lindy loves the subtleties of watercolours but works in other media, like pastels and oils as well.
