As a professional, award winning artist operating from my studio in the Western Cape, my artistic journey commenced at a young age under the guidance of my father an exceptionally skilled artist in his own right. He instilled in me values of discipline, patience and a keen eye for intricate details overlooked by others. Embarking on a journey in the United Sates that embraces creativity across various unconventional mediums beyond traditional tools, such as paper, paint and pencil, I ventured into fashion design, special effects and make-up artistry for the film and television industry. I fulfilled roles as a freelance artist/instructor for MAC Cosmetics. After successfully owning a boutique specializing in dog grooming and haute couture pet outerwear, and receiving several awards for my grooming and design expertise, i decided to retire and sell the business. Subsequently, upon my return to South Africa, i selected the Western Cape as my new anchor to reignite my passion for art. Here, surrounded by wildlife and natural botanical beauty, I embrace painting with pencils and paint capturing subjects that resonate deeply within me and hope to evoke a profound connection with the viewer. I firmly believe that regardless of the scale of our individual contributions to life, what truly holds significance is the imperative need for all living beings to coexist harmoniously to sustain life on our shared home,Earth.
