About the Artist

His award-winning work has been described as having an individual style of precision, power and eloquence!
His preferred mediums are pastel and graphite pencil.
Art and wildlife enthusiasts are invited to share Warrens love and knowledge of art and wildlife on Safari in some of the most beautiful safari locations in South Africa.
Arting on Safari
Warren accompanies the guests on game drives where he will guide them in observing the many elements of the bush through the eye of an artist: from the wildlife, to the flora, to the landscape, paying particular attention to light, colour, movement and paying particular attention to the habits of the specific animals.
Workshop drawing sessions are then carried out at the lodge where Warren guides the guests through pencil & pastel techniques, textures specific to various animal subjects, light and tonal changes, perspective, composition and focal points.
The drawing exercises focus on specific areas of various animal subjects such as fur, eyes, nose, which culminate in a final artwork for the guest to complete.
Workshops are held in groups of 1 – 5 persons, over 3 or 4 days. (Groups above 5 can be accommodated with additional Artist assistants.)
Please note that these workshops do require a certain level of skill and interest.
